What is Shelter?
Shelter is an outdoor retreat for dogs, designed for the modern backyard. It combines architectural materials with a calm interior space built for everyday outdoor living.
Who is Shelter designed for?
Shelter is designed for households that value thoughtful outdoor spaces and want a dedicated place for their dog to rest, observe and feel at home.
Will my dog fit?
Shelter is designed for most small, medium and large breeds, including Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, Australian Shepherds and similar-sized dogs. A full breed guide is available in the Specification Sheet.
Can Shelter be used indoors?
Yes. While Shelter is designed primarily for outdoor use, it can also be placed indoors where space allows.
Can puppies use Shelter?
Yes. Shelter is suitable for dogs of all ages.

What is Shelter made from?
Shelter is built with a structural timber frame, smooth-coated matte steel panels and a composite timber-lined interior. Every unit is made in Australia using durable materials selected for long-term outdoor use.
How does Shelter handle rain and weather?
Shelter is designed for everyday outdoor living using weather-resistant materials and fixtures. Like any outdoor product, regular care will help maintain its appearance over time.
Can Shelter remain outdoors year-round?
Yes. Shelter is designed to remain outdoors throughout the year.
Will the steel become hot in direct sun?
Like most outdoor materials, steel will warm in direct sunlight. Shelter uses a smooth-coated steel finish with UV-resistant properties, and positioning Shelter in natural or partial shade will provide the most comfortable environment during warmer periods.
Does Shelter require assembly?
No. Shelter arrives fully assembled and ready for placement.
How much does Shelter weigh?
Shelter weighs approximately 180 lb (82 kg).
Ownership
How do I clean Shelter?
The composite timber-lined interior can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The removable stainless steel bowl and removable cushion cover make routine cleaning straightforward.
Can I replace the Shelter Mat?
Yes. Replacement Shelter Mats will be available separately.
Does the Shelter Bowl remove?
Yes. The stainless steel bowl lifts out for cleaning and refilling.
Can Shelter be moved after installation?
Yes. Shelter can be relocated when required. Due to its weight, we recommend moving it with two people.
